National Hands Off Rally
Walworth County Dems will host an event for National Hands Off Day in conjunction with Indivisible and 50501 Movement on Saturday, April 5 at the Village of Walworth (WI) Square across from Sammy's Restaurant.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. They're taking everything they can get their hands on, and daring the world to stop them. On Saturday, April 5th, we're taking to the streets nationwide to fight back with a clear message: Hands off!
Bring signs (no profanity, please), dress for the weather and channel your anger into activism!

General Membership Meeting
Join us for the Walworth Democrats’ monthly meeting to learn more about how to get involved with electing Democrats & building community this spring.
We just learned that Justice Rebecca Dallet will speak at our General Membership meeting on February 13th representing Judge Susan Crawford. Justice Dallet is one of four sitting Justices who have endorsed Crawford to join the high bench.

We will also welcome a second guest speaker, Kathleen Blake representing Worth Fighting For Wisconsin. Her presentation, entitled Dissent Defines Democracy, will focus on mobilizing after the November election results, Trump taking office, and how to fight back in a MAGA administration.
All members of the Democratic Party of Walworth County are encouraged to attend and may vote.
Zoom Link Information: To ensure our Zoom meetings are secure and free of bad actors, we ask that all Zoom attendees complete a pre-registration form by noon because we need time to check all registrants. Here are the steps:
1) Complete the form including email address by NOON Thursday to guarantee you are included. (If you have a last-minute change of plans, you can request later and we'll do our very best to include you.) Pre-registration Zoom form
2) Look for the email with the Zoom meeting link mid- or late afternoon on Thursday.

Communications and Marketing Committee
New committee, formerly combined with Community Outreach Committee.
The communications & marketing committee is tasked with communicating with our members and the public at large by creating our email newsletters, updating our website, writing letters-to-the-editor, creating public-facing marketing materials and press releases, and managing and promoting major fundraising and special events.
Community Outreach Committee
New standing committee, formerly part of Communications and Outreach. Promotes and supports community engagement related to living our values, such as our Little Blue Pantry, blood drives, fundraisers for local organizations serving people in need, and events open to the community.
The Community Outreach committee organizes member engagement in community events, such as the County Fair, farmers markets, Cinco de Mayo, festivals, parades, sign brigades, and service activities like highway cleanups, blood drives, Little Blue Pantry, and monthly coffees.

Immigration Law speaker (Community Event, not Walworth Dems)
Matheson Public Library, Elkhorn
Attorney Brigette Kutschma of Soberalski Immigration Law will provide an immigration law presentation, sharing her knowledge regarding complicated immigration issues, in both English and Spanish. The presentation includes a discussion of current family and humanitarian-based immigration options, such as family pathways, protections for crime and abuse victims (U-Visa & VAWA), DACA, Green Card & Employment Authorization renewals, US Citizenship, asylum, juvenile cases, and more. She will also discuss immigrant rights and protection in the home, community, and at work. Participants are encouraged to bring questions to the event.
